Faith and Reality

As I Can See

The life of faith does not depend on the concrete, visible reality of this physical world, but has to do with the invisible God. We are living in a world of practical reality, so we have to deal with practical issues on this earth. However, the life of faith belongs to another realm, and we cannot apply the same standards or deal with the same issues.

In this world we all seek happiness and joy. We as individual beings can never find happiness, but we need some other element with which to bring it about–another person, material things, an intellectual goal. We can apply certain criteria to everything in the world. Unless we are finding other things or people that stimulate us and make us happy, we cannot make progress in life. In other words, we find happiness through something objective which stimulates us. In our academic life, we are…

The Importance of Prayer

As I Can See

You know your limits and weaknesses don’t you? That is why you need prayer. Where can you get the necessary help and guidance? Is there anyone to turn to? The most important thing in prayer is the attitude of the person who is praying. The most essential thing is your promise and commitment to God that says, “I will go toward this destiny without reservation.” If anything wants to block you – even a hurricane or tornado is coming at you – you must go forward. Once you gain such grit saying, “I am ready for anything! Let it come at me anytime,” then nothing will stop you. That is the decisive promise and attitude. Unless you have that absolute pledge and commitment first, God will not be able to help you. This pledge is the beginning of your prayer.

God does not want to waste His time either. Can…

Song of Songs

As I Can See

How beautiful you are, my love,
how beautiful you are!
Your eyes, behind your veil,
are doves;
your hair is like a flock of goats
frisking down the slopes of Gilead.
Your teeth are like a flock of shorn ewes
as they come up from the washing.
Each one has its twin,
not one unpaired with another.
Your lips are a scarlet thread
and your words enchanting.
Your cheeks, behind your veil,
are halves of pomegranate.
Your neck is the tower of David
built as a fortress,
hung around with a thousand bucklers,
and each the shield of a hero.
Your two breasts are two fawns,
twins of a gazelle,
that feed among the lilies.

Before the dawn wind rises,
before the shadows flee,
I will go to the mountain of myrrh,
to the hill of frankincense.

You are wholly beautiful, my love,
and without a blemish.

The Hope Which Can Win Over Death

As I Can See

A person entertains all kinds of hope in his life. However, he runs into death in the end and passes away, having abandoned all the hopes he had fostered. Although he wanders about seeking a new hope, wishing to live today and tomorrow, when he runs into death, he goes the last path in despair. We know this very well.

A person does not have a hope with which he can go over the hill of death, even though he seems to have hope centering on himself. He fades away without such a hope. There are questions then to be considered. Are we to take this for the norm of life? Are we to seek out a hope with which we can go beyond death, scoffing at it and even delighting in it? These are the important questions people living on this earth today must consider.

Everything in the world…

To Become a Source of God’s Pride

As I Can See

We have not known the God who could never take pride in His creation. We did not know that He saw His pride turn into sorrow and manifest itself in tears.

Therefore, now we must find the original heavenly nature and original love of which God longs to be proud. Accordingly, as the people who possess the original heart of love that can relate with God, you must cultivate yourselves to become those in whom God can take pride. Although God has been yearning and searching for the one person who can bring shame to Satan and provide God with a source of pride, He has not been able to find such a person.

People want to boast. It is human nature to put one’s self forward and boast about oneself. We have the desire to boast about our parents, our children, and the whole of our family. Furthermore, we…

Faith-lift of the Heart

As I Can See

Although many plastic surgeries give the promises of artificial beauty, relying on our longing for eternal existence, and we always get back to the anti-aging in several well-commerced ways, how do we provide the necessary nourishment to our heart, our soul and mind?

Thoughts, determined by the news, feeds, trends, fashions, neighbours, friends, colleagues and so on, lead us emotions and result in deeds. So, what’s in our mind, inevitably will have its performance in our everyday life, at last.

Being believers, and frankly, we all believe in some ways, somehow we struggle distinguishing our political views and our life of faith, many times we forget or simply unable to implement the law of love in our work-life. We do pray at the dinner table but forget to forgive and comfort others in the times of grief and sorrow; even we tend to skip being gratitude for the smaller or…

Human nature

As I Can See

Human nature is such that we always desire a fuller relationship of love; we always want to go deeper and deeper into love. It is important to know how we can be harmonized with the essence of love in the universe. First of all, we must think of God as our subject. Each person is always in the position of object to God. What is the subject/object relationship centered upon? It is centered on love. Thus the essential relationship between God and man is that of the subject and object of love. The parent/child relationship is the essential, universal relationship.
