The standard of love that Jesus established

What did Jesus do to realize the value of such a cosmic life? He elevated love. In other words, he propagated new words of the gospel to complete the value of cosmic life in heaven and earth. The central point of that gospel was love.

What would be the most important thing for an individual to be able to connect his own private life to the standard of eternal value? As Jesus said, he must have such love that he can sacrifice his life for the sake of others. In fact, Jesus established the standard of value of life by loving others more than himself.

Similarly, Jesus, who appeared representing the value of heavenly life, taught humankind to possess such love that they can sacrifice their lives for the sake of others’ salvation. You must understand clearly that the man who appeared with such a loving heart, who loved his colleagues more than himself, who loved the world more than he loved his colleagues, and who loved God and the thousands upon thousands of saints more than he loved the world was Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not live with an individualistic ideology to find the value of his own individual life or with individualistic love. Even when he loved a friend, his love transcended the relationship of loving friendship. Jesus had the perspective that he loved the friend representing the world. He also loved that friend with the heart that represented God.

Likewise, Jesus did not practice love on a one-to-one basis. When Jesus loved a certain individual, it was with God’s love, with cosmic love, and then with individual love. You must be able to experience this. Only when you do so can you rightly comprehend the value of Jesus’ life.

Up to what level did Jesus raise the standard of his own life? He envisioned himself existing for the sake of the world. Even when he loved a friend of his, forsaking himself, he kept the perspective that he loved him for the sake of the world. This was Jesus’ standard.

Jesus could establish the standard of love of worldwide salvation on the cross because he had the heart of love and sacrifice with which he could die for the sake of an individual and for the whole simultaneously. You must know that Jesus was the hero of love, life and character. That was not all. Jesus then prayed toward Heaven, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.” (Matthew 26:39) Because Jesus wished to live only according to the will of the Father, he could demonstrate God’s love to humankind beyond the valley of death. Similarly, we must know that the entire course of Jesus’ life was filled with such remarkable love.

Next, what did Jesus Christ, who came with the mission to restore the cosmic life, raise to find the value of life? That, too, was love. This love was not meant for individual human beings but for the world, God and the eternal world — the spiritual beings who are in the spirit world.

In order for us, in our daily lives, to realize the value of the life of Jesus, who represented God’s love, we who must take responsibility for the restoration of the whole life must not deal with whichever matter we face with transient emotions. We must deal with all things with the resolution and determination that we will model ourselves after Jesus’ character, who represented the whole on the cosmic level. Only after we pass through such a day-to-day life can we complete the worldwide life and make a connection with eternal life.

In other words, if your day-to-day lives have a transient value that affects only you, you cannot make a connection with eternity. That is the reason you must lead a life in which you can make a connection with God’s eternal love. Only when you do that will the eternal God be with you. Because Jesus lived making daily connections with God throughout his life, though Jesus is dead, the Will of God, who wished it to be completed by Jesus, has been continuously carried on toward its completion.

Jesus’ view of life for the sake of the restoration

Inherit Jesus’ Tradition

If we desire the Blessing, we should concentrate first on how to live solely for God’s will. When Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, he prayed that not his own will but God’s will be done. He did not choose the path of the cross because of his own will. Unless, like Jesus, you are confident of being able to overcome the problems of life and death, you cannot welcome or walk the path of restoration. Are you confident enough to dedicate your life for God’s will? If you take this course, you should know you cannot go alone; you must able to relate to all people, and be able to console those who are going to follow you on this path.

Are you really ready to sacrifice your life! You cannot think, “I am a young girl with a beautiful face; I can be welcomed anywhere I go, and I have no particular defects. A girl like myself cannot do sacrificial work.” Or, “I am a man with a great physical body and handsome appearance, with a great family. Whatever I want I can get very easily, So, as such a wonderful man, I cannot do such rigorous sacrificial work.” What’s more, you should not be bitter about walking a sacrificial path.

When Jesus was shouldering the cross, he could have deplored his situation, saying, “I should not have to do this kind of thing. I have not yet married, even though I am a 33 year old man. My mission and my value have not yet been realized.” But Jesus could not think that way. Death was not a problem for him; he was ready to sacrifice his life, and the weight of the cross that he was shouldering could not deter him. Although he fell down physically, he didn’t waver internally, because of his great stamina. No other man in history has ever had such a strong determination connected with God, and because of Jesus’ great strength, human history took a new direction. This became God’s new starting point on earth.

Two thousand years have passed since that time, but the spirit of Jesus has not passed away. Instead, it has been inherited by millions of people. How happy we can be today – to inherit such an important mission – the tradition of Jesus! Therefore, it doesn’t matter if we lose our lives. We should cry out in the darkness of death and shatter that darkness by the light of God’s heart. We should make that light shine throughout all the world. We must become that kind of man or woman. This is the challenge. Originally, the fall of man meant death; salvation means the overcoming of death. If we are determined to be saved, we should be willing to be bold. If we succeed, the world will head in a new direction. We should be excited! Are you confident that you can overcome the problems of life and death? I have faced issues of life and death many, many times – hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands of times. Although I may face suffering and pain, although my legs may be cut off and my eyes extracted, and even if I’m beheaded, I am still strongly determined to complete that course I started. My conviction is absolute.

Faith guarantees salvation

So far then we have seen that, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by faith we are
judged righteous and at peace With God, since it is by faith and through
Jesus that we have entered this state of grace in which we can boast about
looking forward to God’s glory. But that is not all we can boast about; we can
boast about our sufferings. These sufferings bring patience, as we know, and
patience brings perseverance, and perseverance brings hope, and this hope is
not deceptive, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the
Holy Spirit which has been given us. We were still helpless when at his appointed
moment Christ died for sinful men. It is not easy to die even for a good man –
though of course for someone really worthy, a man might be prepared to die –
but what proves that God loves us is that Christ died for us while we were still
sinners. Having died to make us righteous, is it likely that he would now fail
to save us from God’s anger? When we were reconciled to God by the death of
his Son, we were still enemies; now that we have been reconciled, surely we may
count on being saved by the life of his Son? Not merely because we have been
reconciled but because we are filled with joyful trust in God, through our Lord
Jesus Christ, through whom we have already gained our reconciliation.

Romans 5:1-11

The basis of the Christian moral life

“You see, God’s grace has been revealed, and it has made salvation possible for the whole human race ·and taught us that what we have to do is to give up everything that does not lead to God, and all our worldly ambitions; we must be self-restrained and live good and religious lives here in this present world, while we are waiting in hope for the blessing which will come with the Appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Christ Jesus. He sacrificed himself for us in order to set us free from all wickedness and to purify a people so that it could be his very own and would have no ambition except to do good. Now this is what you are to say, whether you are giving instruction or correcting errors; you can do so with full authority, and no one is to question it.”

Titus 2:11-15

We Who Must Inherit the Mission of Jesus and Fulfil God’s Will

To practice love, you must, of your own accord, live a life of serving and caring for others. When you do that, you can make a connection to the love of the whole. Then you can establish the value of life of which the eternal God can approve. Because Jesus came with the mission to restore the cosmic life, he had to go through the course of individual service, individual sacrifice and individual tribulations. As he was bearing such responsibility, he wanted to be responsible, not just for his generation, but for the life of the whole of humankind until the mission of total restoration is completed.

In other words, Jesus has carried out the mission of the restoration of the cosmic life for the past 2,000 years. However, since he could not fulfill the mission alone, he sent the Holy Spirit to work. He is even mobilizing the many spiritual beings in the spirit world to carry out the mission.

Because Jesus came and went without fulfilling the mission to restore the value of cosmic life, that mission is yet to be completed. Therefore, Jesus is still working laboriously to complete the mission on earth until this day.

However, this mission cannot be completed only by Jesus. By whom, then, can this mission be completed? God wishes us to complete the mission. In other words, because Jesus could not fulfil the mission to restore the cosmic life, we have to carry it out. If you feel responsible for the mission to be completed in your generation, you need to have a strong determination throughout your lives to fulfil the mission by any means.

Now, you of today must experience in your daily lives that Jesus is making laborious efforts in the course of the providential dispensation to establish the value of cosmic life. Otherwise, the will of Jesus Christ, who has worked laboriously as a man of mission to restore the cosmic life, cannot be completed through us.

You must know that first you have to offer yourselves as a conditional object of pledge before Heaven. Jesus set a condition of pledge for the world, for heaven and earth and for the whole people. That was the crucifixion. Through the crucifixion, Jesus could cross over in one stage the standard set by many saints and sages through their struggles throughout their lives. Therefore, you must have a clear concept that you will become sacrificial offerings of pledge submitted before Heaven, before the world or before an individual to realize the value of cosmic life.

Wherever you go, wherever you are, whatever you do, you must always make an effort to set yourselves up as conditional objects of pledge in any circumstances, every hour and every day. Such a life is the life of faith. Now you are left with the mission to find the value of cosmic life in front of the Father. You must set yourselves up as conditional objects of pledge and lead lives by which you can make a connection with the life of Jesus. Furthermore, you must have the resolution that you will build yourselves into worldwide conditional objects. Further, you must determine that you will become the sacrifice of pledge replacing the numerous prophets who have made laborious efforts until now and for Jesus Christ. Only when each one of you makes such a condition of pledge can you multiply from one to two, become four, and reach to the world.

You must know that when such circumstances come into being, the earthly toils to find the true value of life will be concluded. In other words, unless the foundation that can conclude the earthly efforts to find life is formed in each of you and expands to the church, to the society, to the nation, and even to the world, the dispensational will for which God raised Jesus Christ, restoring the cosmic life, will not be concluded. You must understand this very clearly. When you think of yourselves, you who have worked during the dispensation of the will so far, and also of Christians today, no individual or family has appeared who represented the value of cosmic life and comprised a standard in which they connected to society, the nation and the world. The whole of humankind, each and every one in the world, was to enter that realm. However, they did not. Unless such a standard gets established on the Earth, Jesus Christ’s mission to restore the cosmic life will not be concluded.

Where is Your face

Where is Your face
I’m searching it in the mirror
I was wondering
Whether I could see Yours in my own

Can I find the light of eternity
In the glance
Can I trust the words of modernity
On the lips

For a while I thought
I could be perfect all by myself
I know now I was wrong
For I ought to be a part of a system

But with whom I could be one
Like living organs
Building and sustaining
An even greater one

All the tricks of the hearts
Played their game on me
Tried and tired my soul
I’ve almost became empty

Maybe more than a shallow life
Once I believed I could have
And I made myself to live in
In an ever-changing bubble

Where is Your face
Am I blind, deaf and ignorant
My obnoxiousness
Separates our hearts

I was wondering
Whether I’m worthy
I’m not beyond
Redemption

The Meaning of the Tribulation that God Foretold

God foretold that there would be seven years of great tribulation confronting Humanity at the time of the last days. The period of great tribulation is the time when all saints must face the agonizing difficulties Heaven endured throughout the course of restoration history. As all human relationships will be broken down, you will face circumstances where you cannot trust anything. No matter how much you try to live your life conscientiously and righteously, you cannot insist on your way of life. The more consciously you embrace God’s Will and contemplate about the world, the more pain and suffering you will feel as you observe the world. Such a time will be the seven-years of great tribulation in the last days.

It will be a time when all hopes will be shaken, the core of your faith will waver, and the leaders whom you have followed will vacillate. Not only ideologies, but also religions, consciences, and hearts of parents will be shaken. Then, why would God make such a world at the time of the last days? It is because God wants to give the special value that you can truly participate with Him in His suffering history. God has witnessed a vast number of human miseries throughout the past 6,000 years and faced countless difficulties. Therefore, in the last days, He puts you through the environment where you cannot find the center with any ideology or faith. God wants to find true sons and daughters who will be able to say “I love God,” or declare, “I will live with God” even in the midst of such tribulations and difficulties.

Knowing this, you should not be discouraged and mournful when you witness the church trembling to its core, nor should you be sorrowful seeing that the leading ideology is no longer believable. You should not be shocked, seeing that a governing leader is fallen. You should not be sad that your parents have changed, nor that your brothers and sisters end up completely different.

Even if everything that you believed and trusted in is in turmoil, your heart should remain calm. You must know that God is never in turmoil and that He will visit you at this hour. Also, know that God only makes you suffer so that one day He will build a precious relationship with you as you share the pain and suffering He has experienced throughout history. Thus, tribulation is His promise to do so. God needs such a time so that He can find a person, even in a most difficult situation, embracing Heaven and crying out, “I will go wherever You go. I will fight on with You. I will take action with You!”

Therefore, you should not despair, saying that your path is blocked. Do not be disheartened that your nation is in turmoil. God is not dead. No matter how terrible the world becomes, you should not be dejected. Remember, God is not dead. God will definitely visit you. Although everything on earth is crumbling, you must not waver in your single-minded devotion to Heaven. You must not change your inner hope that comes from relying on God. To see your unchanging heart, God pushes you into many kinds of difficulties and sufferings.

You must have conviction in your heart that you will call out to your Heavenly Father even when facing unbearable situations. Even if you feel you have fallen to the bottom of the deepest valley, you must make every effort to climb up, using only a string that connects you with Heaven in your heart. Even though you feel bitterness and pain, as if you were falling into Hell, you must poise yourself to attending your Heavenly Father, concerned with your Heavenly Father’s pains and sufferings before your own. Believing that Heavenly Father realizes your personal pain and anguish, if you push forward – no matter how miserable your situation – with a sense of responsibility and duty, you will never perish.

Today, there are millions of Christians in the world, but how many of them has such a faith? We are attending our Heavenly Father, not at His Throne, but attending Him as he struggles in deadly waves of storms, trying desperately to find His sons or daughters. You must realize the reality of such a Heavenly Father as your Heavenly Father, such a situation is His situation, and such a desperate heart as His heart.

Then you must stand boldly before Him with conviction to proclaim, “I now come to understand that Your Desire is to find your sons and daughters, that Your Situation is to find your lost children, resolving Your historical pains and sufferings and that Your Heart is to love your lost children by embracing them. So, no matter how bitter the suffering or unbearable the difficulties I face, I declare that I am a Manifestation of Your Desire, Your Situation, and Your Heart.” You must understand that once you make that commitment, you are Your Heavenly Father’s child and responsible to attend Him.

God sent Jesus Christ out of love

God sent Jesus Christ out of love, hoping that the people of the world would listen to the new gospel of Jesus Christ, who was turning things upside down and altering their life course. He was hoping they could cling to Jesus Christ. However, humankind then and the numerous people since then have not been able to rightfully welcome and attend him, as their master who can make them look back toward Heaven. Because of that, history has been flowing forth without fulfillment of the purpose of life in which they can proceed looking back toward Heaven. Similarly, you of today also are faced with the destiny to go forth looking back toward Heaven at all times. Because humankind cannot go back toward Heaven by its own ability, God provided the way by sending Jesus Christ, through whom humankind can go back. If humankind had looked in the direction that Jesus looked and walked as Jesus walked, humankind could have accomplished the hope of returning to the bosom of God. You must know for certain that this was the central meaning of why God sent Jesus Christ.

Jesus, the king of faith, who stood high as the pride of God

There was a huge gap between what Jesus saw with his eyes as he emerged as the pride of God and of what the Israelites were proud. In other words, the Israelites, who had been upholding the will of God’s dispensation of restoration, were proud of different things than Jesus was in respect to their being the chosen people. Jesus was proud for the sake of the will of God as he championed the will of God’s dispensation of restoration. For this reason, the Israelites faced a situation where they were supposed to forsake what they took pride in as a people before the words and actions of Jesus, who took pride in God’s will.

Had they given up what they took pride in and bowed before Jesus Christ, who appeared with a new source of pride for the sake of God’s will, the difficult path of the cross would not have stood before Jesus Christ. The concept of the way of the cross would not have existed in the history of Christianity. Although salvation would have been based on one’s attendance to the words of Jesus, there would not have been such a thing as salvation due to one’s faith in the cross.

Today in reverence for the death of Jesus, we believe that the power of redemption lies in the cross, but this is not the whole picture. Christians today miss the point. The power of redemption lies in the words Jesus spoke while he was alive. What we have to understand is that while spiritual redemption is, of course, possible through one’s faith in the cross, if people had believed in and lived according to the words Jesus spoke while he was alive, physical and spiritual salvation would have taken place. What must Jesus first take pride in after coming to this earth? Adam and Eve could not substantiate the words of God because of the fall. They failed to believe in His words. Since man fell and the dispensational history was prolonged for 4,000 years because they did not believe in God’s words, Jesus as the one center established faith in front of Satan. In other words, Jesus emerged as the king of faith on this earth.

What manner of man was Jesus? What was the standard upon which Jesus could stand tall as the pride of God? Jesus came as the king of faith before humanity who, in the course of the 4,000 years of history was left without even one person who could be trusted to uphold the will of God. For this reason, God was able to boast about the faith of Jesus Christ.

Many people claim to believe in God, but with that general kind of faith, it is impossible to make the internal connection between the high and the low that is built upon the heart of God. What is more, although countless saints and sages have come and gone, based on what they believed and followed, one cannot understand the principles of love that lie deep within God. Furthermore, Jesus tried to take responsibility for the whole process of faith in history which countless saints had walked through, and to single-handedly put an end to the satanic history Jesus, who was the culmination of the 4,000 years of history, came as the center of the universe and the champion of faith.

For the sake of this one standard, God raised Jesus up as the king of faith. Jesus represented the will of God and in God’s place taught His words. The words he proclaimed were not the truth of the Old Testament as it stood. His faith was not built on the faith of the Old Testament era. His belief was not limited to the words and prophecies of the past saints and sages. In other words, he did not have the concept of the Messiah that the Israelites believed in, based on the words of the Old Testament.

To explain the nature of the faith Jesus had, he was the representative of the faith that cannot be found in the Old Testament Bible and which did not exist in history leading up to his time. He had a new type of faith, which had not come into existence until that time in any environment in the world. Consequently, the Old Testament history had to recede before Jesus.

What must we understand, we who believe in Jesus Christ, the king of faith in whom God takes pride? We have to understand that if we look at Jesus with some limitation, then we cannot come to grasp the 4,000 years of history before his coming and his thirty years of life; nor can we grasp the eternal value of his life, which will influence the future eternally. Moreover, we have to come to grips with the fact that even if hundreds of millions of people are ignorant of the will of God and stand against it, we should have the standard of faith to say “I will uphold that holy will alone. I will believe what no one else can believe in.” Only when this is done can Jesus stand as the Savior and the king of faith before humanity. Did Jesus, whom we believe in today give all the words of truth while he was alive? If he did not, we need the words that the returning Lord will give us. Although Jesus was the king of faith whom God had sought and who could stand at last, 4,000 years after the fall of Adam and Eve, as the source of God’s pride before Satan and the world of creation, because of the faithlessness of the Israelites, God had to hand him over to the enemy. Therefore, Jesus Christ is to return with the standard to boast before all the creation and to give new words. As the champion and king of faith, Jesus revealed new words that were not in the Old Testament. Those words have been handed down to us as the words of the New Testament.

Since this era is a new one and a glorious era will come in the near future, we need to have the kind of faith that can be perpetuated in that glorious era. The hope and faith of Jesus Christ were not on the level of the faith man had believed in for 4,000 years. His faith was something that, through his life, reached many generations after him. It reached even to eternity and is the faith that can bring to light the love and goodness that could not emerge then.

Jesus Christ was the king of faith whom history had never seen before and in whom God could take pride. You must also have the same kind of faith as Jesus.
